ADMINISTRATION

Chief Saltzman joined the Boonville Police Department in April, 1987. In 1996 Daryl became Boonville’s first K-9 Officer. His K-9 partner, Albin, retired in 2000. During this time, Daryl served as Assistant Chief for 9 years until June, 2005 when he was promoted to Chief of Police. Daryl graduated from the F.B.I. Academy in September, 2001 and currently serves as a D.A.R.E. Officer. Daryl enjoys spending time with his wife, Cyndi and their two children, Jordan and Samantha.

SRO Bryan McKain attended Roane State Community College located near Knoxville, Tennessee where he received an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Criminal Justice. McKain decided in high school that he wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement. Prior to becoming a police officer, McKain worked part-time with McKain Heating & Cooling. Officer McKain was hired by the Boonville Police Department in 2006, and graduated from the 165th session of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. McKain enjoys serving the fine citizens of Boonville to the best of his ability.

John Swain, Police Chaplain
Chaplain John Swain is a certified Senior Chaplain, certified by the International Conference of Police Chaplains. He has served the police officers of the Boonville Police Department for nine years. He is available to respond to the needs of the Boonville Police Department 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

SHIFT SUPERVISORS

Sergeant Anderson was a 1995 graduate of the Boonville High School, majoring in U.S. History. Upon graduation, Anderson joined the Indiana Army National Guard where he served 10 years and was deployed in 2002 to Bosnia, and again deployed to Afghanistan from 2004-2005. In 2006, He was hired by the Boonville Police Department and graduated from the 165th class of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Anderson was promoted to Sergeant in 2015. Anderson Enjoys working with the community and helping the community that supported him while he was deployed overseas. [ EMAIL ]
PATROLMAN

Officer Casey Miller grew up in Boonville. She attended Boonville High School and graduated in 2005. Before joining the Boonville Police Department in 2016, she was a dispatcher at the Warrick County Sheriff’s office for 8 years. Officer Miller graduated the Southwest Law Enforcement Academy in November 2016. On her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children.

Officer Matthew Brown joined the Boonville Police Department in July, 2017. Matthew served as a security forces member for four years in the United States Air Force. After serving our country, he safely drove one million miles across the lower 48 states as an owner operator truck driver. After feeling a call to be closer to home and serve the community, Officer Brown decided to park his wheels and joined the Warrick County Sheriff's Office as a correctional officer. Later that year, he joined the Boonville Police Department as a patrolman. He enjoys woodworking, hunting and spending time with his wife and two children.

Officer Chuck Childress was hired in 1993 as a part-time officer for the Boonville Police Department. Officer Childress enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.

Cody Trine was hired in 2019 and graduated from SWILEA in 2020. Before becoming an officer with Boonville Police Department he worked as a jailer at Posey and Warrick County. Officer Trine was also a member of the Explorer Post 82 through the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office. As an explorer, Officer Trine attended 2 national explorer conferences. Officer Trine graduated from Boonville High School and then attended Vincennes University where he earned an Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement. Officer Trine enjoys spending time with his wife and likes to play golf, hunt, shoot, and fish.
Patrolman Seth Kyte was hired at Boonville Police Department in September of 2019 and graduated SWILEA in 2020. He grew up in Evansville and graduated from Central HS. Officer Kyte served 8 years in the Marine Corp completing 4 tours with 2 tours being in combat as infantry mortarman and Psychological Operations NCO. Officer Kyte is married with 2 boys and he enjoys martial arts, hunting and working out.
